Small flat tunnel clay tunnel
Also very young Axolotl love to be shady and to retreat in small niches or tunnels. For the smallest we offer here a flat shelter without a window. In order to give the shelter some naturalness, the surfaces of the monochrome tunnels are hand-decorated. The multicolored tunnels (camouflage, vintage, navy, surprise and supernova) are not given any additional decoration in order not to disturb the color pattern.
Other ornamental fish and invertebrates in our aquariums, such as catfish, loaches, crabs and the like, also love these places to linger, rest and rest.
We use stoneware clay for the production of our clay articles, which can be highly fired and contains a varying proportion of fireclay depending on the product.
On the one hand, this makes our caves very stable and durable. On the other hand, this means that the surfaces are never completely smooth, which provides an excellent basis for surface growth, which in turn is very readily grazed by the catfish.
Each tunnel is unique, color deviations are desired and intended.
