Igloo Clay Cave Axolotl cave 30 cm with archway

Extra large hemisphere cave as a hiding place for axolotl

A particularly large cave for large or special requirements :-)

The diameter of the shelter is approx. 30 cm. The igloo is about 15 cm high and has a wide entrance designed like an archway.

To give this shelter a natural look, the surfaces of the single-coloured tunnels are hand-decorated. Our multi-coloured versions are not decorated to avoid disturbing the colour pattern. All igloos are made individually by hand. After a few days of drying in the air, they are finished by hand to remove any corners or edges. At approx. 1090 °C, the axolotl caves become very hard and durable hiding places. They can easily be boiled for disinfection purposes or placed in the oven at high heat.

We attach great importance to injury-free surfaces and entrances for all the dens we offer for axolotls. As a rule, no reworking by you is necessary.

As all igloos are made by hand, there may be variations in colouring and dimensions.

If you do not wish to have a surface pattern on your caves, simply indicate this in the comments field when ordering.
