Foliage in its different variations is a natural raw material that perfectly combines decoration with usefulness.

Leaves, roots and other natural materials are a must, especially in aquariums set up close to nature. In such a biotope, fish, shrimps and other invertebrates will find numerous hiding places.

Biofilms form on the surfaces, which are a valuable source of food for many aquarium inhabitants. Some broadleaf species also have a preventative antiseptic or antifungal effect. Walnut leaves, for example, have become indispensable in the breeding of L-catfish.
