The decorative skeletons of the columnar cactus Cylindropuntia bigelovii offer numerous hiding places for shrimps and young catfish thanks to their hollow and perforated structure.

The organic growth that forms provides an additional natural food source.

The tannins they contain can colour the water. If this is not desired, simply water the Vuka wood outside the aquarium for a few days before placing it in the tank.
